Coming Soon to Our Blog Near You!

for all my ladies & gents...the "hot list" on beauty products! I'm going to start comprising the list from my "resource" (some of you may know where I get this information from and some of you may not). I have ONE magazine that I subscribe to that is like my fashion bible. I cannot live w/o it!

I had a major migraine headache last night and was going to post the list then but I will be in better spirits tonight and will have that list for you ladies and gents.

Another Pet Pic

Needless to say the one on the left reminds me of myself!

Halle's Little Berry...

I am so sick n tired of seeing/reading/hearing about other people's children w/their weird fruit names etc. and not seeing enough coverage on Halle's lil bundle of joy. Nahla will grow into a beautiful young woman (u watch n see).

I personally think Halle is DA BOMB! She is a beautiful woman of color. And I'm secure in my sexuality to recognize beauty in other woman (don't get it twisted). I also think Angela Jolie has this raw, natural, sexuality and beauty to her. I wish I had that, I'd be slinkin down the local Albertson's just oozing sexiness at all the hot hunks! wink wink.

But back to Halle...I want to see more pics of her and her little bundle of joy! And after she had that baby...dayummmm, she bounced back. Her figure is still to die for! Sigh...some women are just so damn lucky (to have $ and great personal trainers).

AIM HIGH!

I came across this pic and had to post it to share w/you gals n guys. Talk about being persistent! LOL

Birthday Gone Bad...

So my 34th birthday party was celebrated on Friday, March 20th at Tokyo Delves in Noho (North Hollywood) in California. I had a blast. If you're ever in the area you should call and make reservations. Keep in mind you're paying for the entertainment, not so much the food. I had never done sake bombs before...needless to say after 8 sake bombs I was bombed myself! I figured hey, I'm a cognac drinker...sake is like nothing. WRONG. Well as soon as we left the restaurant I fell on the concrete sidewalk and busted up my left knee! Then someone stole my $300 Canon camera! So all my memories are gone! Pretty sad n pathetic isn't it. I can only rely on pics that my friends have sent to me to relive that night (plus I kinda don't remember much of it).

Word to the wise...PLEASE make sure someone sober is watching your stuff for you and they are a really close homey you've known for a long time and/or don't bring anything that valuable with you. Use a disposable which is what I'm going to do from now on.

I just ordered another camera...the new Canon Powershot 780is (I think that's the model #). I got it in red w/a 16gb memory card.

This camera promises to be da bomb. I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't at least have a 5x optical zoom and only 3x. But we shall see how well this cam performs as I anticipate an arrival date of 4/3! And please believe, this beeotch is NOT leaving my sight for sure!!! I've posted a few pics from that night....sigh...everytime I see my camera in the pics I get all sad n depressed (I haven't attached those pics). Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my camera and love to take pics and video clips. I've only had the damn thing for 13 months! BASTARDS W/NO CLASS!!! RIP my beloved Canon!

The Latest n The Greatest

Well its been awhile since either of us posted anything and its definitely not to say that there hasn't been a lot going on with either of us. I'll start out w/me. Last Sunday, March 15th I took my little sassy Bella to my uncle's house and when I got out the car I saw a little dog sitting on the neighbors front porch. I kept staring like is that a dog? I took a step forward and said, "Hi doggie." Well the damn dog bolted and ran into the street (my uncle lives on the main road). Two vehicles including a mini van stopped and went around the dog BUT the darkly tinted SUV did not. He hit the dog which was still alive and yelping in the street and kept on trucking. Well I ran into the street and it picked up the dog w/my other hand. Scruffy lil thing.

There was a car accident two houses up and the tow guy came over to see what happened. I explained the story and he took the dog from me. I ran into my uncle's yard and asked my aunt what do I do? She said call 311. I was going back into my car when the tow guy came back and asked me if I can take the dog to the ER Vet closeby. I said sure no problem. The poor dog was terrified and stiff. The tow guy wondered if his spine was broken because he was so stiff.

Well I went to this VET ER place, who saw that the dog had some blood in its mouth and referred me to another Vets Office who contracts w/the shelter nearby my uncle's house. I drive over there w/the dog and called the office, they then tell me to take the dog to the shelter over in the area that I live in. I dropped the poochie off and called on Monday to check up on him.

The dog is a 10-month-old poodle mix pup! No one claimed him and he had no permanent fractures! I saw this as a blessing, my prayers were answered. I adopted him and called him Luca. Naturally the shelter will not let u take a unneutered male dog. So he had to get the ole snip snip. I had 3 days to take him to any vet for a free checkup. I took him to Bella's vet. The dog was so severly shaking I hadn't realized that he was traumatized by being mistreated whomever had him before until I saw him out in public. It broke my heart. The vet gave him a clean bill of health, teeth n gums were great. I paid for some antibiotics (as he was running a bit of a fever) and for a stool sample (which came back clean w/no parasites and/or worms).

Lucky Luca has a conehead thing going on so he won't bite or mess w/his stitches. He's a little raggedy thing right now cuz I was not able to get him groomed before taking him home and before the surgery. After seeing how severly traumatized he was, I decided that Luca needed someone other than me to care for him. Someone who has no prior dogs and will be able to spend ample time nursing him and nuturing him. My homegirl Shonte found someone for him. A 15-year-old girl who is going to love this pup.

He is such a good dog it's not even believeable. He pees and poops ONLY on the pee pads and hasn't barked once since being with me. He's slowly coming out of being scared but it will take some time. I'm happy to have been able to save him and take care of him until he's ready to find a perm home (even if its not with me). I only want the best for this poor dog that has suffered so much already. And I think he's finally going to get it!

That black thing next to him is my Bella sniffing him out! =p

For All of the Shopoholics Out There...

I have to admit it (isn't the 1st step to admit you have a problem?) I am a shopaholic. Hi, my name is Michelle and I am a shopaholic. =p

There is a site that I am in love with. How do I summarize this site? Hmmmm....well, I create style boards of various pics of clothing, I add friends to my "page" and I create visual lists of all sorts of goodies that I want or want to have. The website is: www.kaboodle.com. You will have to download their toolbar (which is no biggie). This tool bar allows you to add any item that you are browsing from a website directly to one of your lists. For instance, if I am looking up my dream car (SLK) I can click on the toolbar that says add to Kaboodle and it will add that picture into my list of "If I had a million dollars." Because it won't definitely go into my list called "my closet" hence the words "dream car." LOL.

Check it out...it's pretty cool.

Revolutionary Concept...

If you're anything like me...you have trouble compiling a place to store all your favorite websites/bookmarks. I have sub groups in my favorites to store my sites, well that is a thing of the past. If you haven't heard, there's a website that stores all your bookmarks. You would create an account (free of course) and log in to access all your saved websites. You will never lose the website bookmarked on their site. Unlike say for instance as opposed to your own internet explorer favorites. For example...you had to restore your PC/laptop to factory settings or had new software installed and lost all your saved bookmarks. Check it out...I know I did and I created an account.

**OK when I preview this post in edit mode I see the link; however, after posting the link has vanished. So here is the link www.delicious.com. Enjoy.

This Should Be Interesting to Watch on TV...

CBS has some alternative programming of its own in the works, sending out Jessica Simpson, Heidi Klum, Jeff Probst, Ice-T, Mario Lopez and LeAnn Rimes to see how they fare in ordinary jobs while trying to convince suspicious coworkers that they are simply celebrity look-alikes.

Here's hoping everybody loves a charade.

The hidden-camera special, I Get That a Lot, will air on April Fools' Day.

March Birthdays...

So April the pisces and Michelle the Aries are both having birthdays this month. Mine is on March 22nd. I will be a rip old age 34! I know some of you think thats not a big deal but for me it is. I was actually in quite a funk for the past few weeks, kinda acting all psycho I must say.

For instance I started to regret ending seeing that certain someone I mentioned in a previous post. I became overwhelmed with past emotions with the discovery of a cousin on my fathers side reaching out to me to establish a relationship, then my birthday coming up which means I'm not near my personal goals I've set for myself and of course the ultimate...PMS!

After much crying, anxiety and what not I damn near had to slap myself...why am I tripping? Baby girl is gorgeous, fun loving and funny...I have no problems meeting anyone and why settle? I don't know at what point I lost myself in the process but I did. Not to mention homie has an exwife (not yet divorced from ...has it been 6 months already) who apparently is a cock blocker & needs to move on. Can we say it all together HATER! I have too much going for myself to deal w/that wack sh8t. I'm going to put on my f*ck em dress and be like f*ck em girl, f*ck em (and shame on you if you don't know where I got that line from)!

Then in regards to the birthday I had to take a step back, I'm almost finished with school. Yes, I'm going to be 34-years-old but I don't look it at all. I actually blew away a few guys & girls last night in my class w/that little fact. I am smart, talented, good-looking and have a lot going for myself.

And with regards to my family situation...I do not have any contact w/my father's side of the family. I was honest w/my cousin as to how all this made me feel. I hate my father, he's a SOB. I actually tell people he's dead (at least to me he is). So knowing while growing up I had all these other family members out there that knew of me too and no one made attempts to communicate or reach out to me left me feeling well...a sense of disappointment, loneliness and abandoned. I must say I'm a pretty up front and honest person but we all know that there's always a little bit of yourself and how you feel that you just don't tell anyone. So I had to dig deep and pull out all those feelings and be totally honest w/myself. And after discussing it w/my bestie Elaine I was able to resolve a bit of those feelings and am actually now looking forward toward establishing family relations.

So...the moral of this post? Things could always be worse. Look at the positive and don't try to keep what God doesn't want you to. Everything happens for a reason and don't second guess yourself. Love you, put you first but always be honest w/yourself about your intentions and actions.

Disclaimer...

Before I get into my "post" I have to throw my disclaimer out there for everyone. Granted this blog is dedicated to our (April & Michelle's - Me) views/opinions, etc. I'm 99.999999% sure not everything we post everyone will agree with, which is a good thing we don't live in a communist nation huh? So please, keep the above in mind when you view our blog. If there is something so outrageous offending you then I can only foresee the following options: you can advise us of the offending matter/content, no longer visit the blog and/or maybe even start your own blog?! Now let's get into the juicy juicy. What about? What else, men!

Now I was so moded the other day. I am/was dating this guy who I think of as a good guy. I must note that my past dating history lately has been toward the Asian male gender so now I am dubbed the Asian Luva. Oo Anyways, he's Pacific Islander (Filipino but looks Chinese), great body (his BEST assest) and an all round stand up guy. A few months ago he told me of a break dance friend whose father had passed away by committing suicide. Indeed that was tragic. Well earlier this week he told me he found out an old high school friend committed suicide. I inquired to find out which friend was this. He told me it was someone from his break dance crew (I know, I know...break dance crew?!). So doing my due diligence & I was sympathetic for him & the situation. Then it dawned on me...I'm like wait a minute didn't he tell me a few months ago the same story. I was so upset (I didn't remember it was the "father" who had committed suicide), I was like what sick person uses suicide to lie about (we're going through issues right now in our "relationship" per se).

I came on the blog and wrote about it. He called me later on that night (Tuesday I believe) & we were talking about it and he was laughing at me (he has a great sense of humor as well) for what I had thought and how I had "tried" to catch him in a lie. He thought it was cute and pretty slick of me. I told him, you told me the same almost identical story a few months ago. I'm like what the hell? We laughed about and we have this thing where we both act like donkey's every now and again. We do the whole hee haw bit. So naturally he gave me the whole hee haw routine. And I must say...April also had a good laugh at my expense (naturally I was laughing too cuz I was moded yet still mad at him).

So the moral of this story...don't be so rash on guys. Give em a chance first. I have been so jaded by past relationships I honestly think I'm just screwed up. Don't get me wrong, this fool isn't innocent either. But I guess what I'm trying to say is don't be so rash/brash (as I've learned) or you'll end up like me...going "hee haw!"

Costume Gone WRONG

I recieved this photo courtesy of my wanna be "bootylicious" friend I wrote about the other day in the DIME Curves post. She's just full of useless information.. What would I do without her!
This was so interesting.. I had to share it .. Can you guess who she is?(wiping a tear from my eye).

13 YEAR OLD BABY DADDY

Ok... stop the press.... this is Big sister, little brother and baby sister, right? NOPE!

This is BABY MAMA, BABY DADDY and BABY!!!!! Check out what the UK SUN covered in todays news...
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2233878.ece

Really? Where was their mum and dad when they were freaking between the sheets acting like they were playing the playstation?

NO MO' T.O.

It's 11:08pm, March 4, 2009... I'm dreaming Idris (Elba...mmmm!) and I are walking down a sandy Hawaiian beach holding hands and watching the sun go down when I am jarred from my sleep! Cellphone chirping, text alerts chiming, land line ringing off the hook. I jumped up, try to get my bearings and run to the phone.. missed call. So, I fish my cell from the bedsheets and attempt to read the text message through glazy eyes...

"What the F**** Dallas let T.O. GO?!?!?!"

I wasn't sure I read that correctly... then another text comes in....

"Dallas Finally released T.O. Thank God"

Ok. wait.. what tha? I was partly relieved that none of those texts were from my mom with any type of emergency and partly pissed that I was so abruptly awaken for, once again, a Terrell Owens NEWS BREAK. I mean, everyone who knows me, knows I love my Cowboys, but those who reeeeeeeeeeeallyyyyyyyyyyyyy know me, know I love my sleep even more. So there was about to be hell to pay.

I flipped the TV to Sportscenter and hear Stephen A. Smith going off about the situation. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Jerry Jones an 'nem straight up pulled the okie dokie on poor T.O. in the middle of the night! Didn't Jerry basically say he wasn't going to cut T.O. just before the season ended when he said, "You and I both know that the one that you're asking about all the time, if I gave you the answer that you want to hear, then you would've already had it. So the fact you don't have it ought to tell you something. It really should." Owens got a new contract last summer, a four-year, $34 million deal that included a $12 million bonus. According to sources, over his three years with the Cowboys, T.O. caught 235 passes for 3,587 yards and 38 touchdowns in 47 games. He led the NFL with 13 TDs receiving in 2006, his first season in Dallas.

Did Jerry make the right decision? Was this an attempt to make Romo happy? Will the Coboys passing game still be lethal? I'm still up in the air about this 9 million dollar move made by Jones and it will be interesting to see how the Cowboys fill the wide receiver position after trading both 1st and 3rd round picks to the Lions for Roy Williams.

So, what's in store for T.O., now? He has to find a new home for the 4th time in his career. I guess I'm kinda like that insane, deranged jealous boyfriend/girlfriend who proclaims "If I can't have you, no one can" cause boy, I sure don't like hearing about T.O.'s childlike behavior in the locker room, but his talent is undeniable, and I'd hate for my Cowboys to face him on the field and he has another one of those "San Francisco Moments" on us!

I guess I better get my popcorn ready, I have a feeling there's about to be some must see T.V. in the weeks to come. Good luck T.O., if push comes to shove there's a ****load of reality shows out there that would die to have you... without your shirt on!

Not That Kinda Party

So we're up and running and very happy you have decided to check us out. In introductiong MA2Sense to the world yesterday, I recieved tons of emails and texts congratulating Crazy Michelle and I on our new venture. In the midst of the accolades, I was asked by a coworker (whom I think is an extremely intelligent, funny and considerate person...sometimes to a fault) "Why don't you have anything about my Mexican people?"( lol.. i know.. right) Although I laughed and made a joke, she was right! I never intended this site to be geared toward one community or culture. However, like they say write what you know.

So, I want to make it clear, although I am African-American and Crazy Michelle is Trinidadian , this site was created to cater toward all culture, races, backgrounds and lifestyles. I'm asking that you stick with us as we iron out the wrinkles and develope our niche.

Now Lo, this one's for you!

Adolfo Carrion Appointed To Key Position at White House

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) applauds President Barack Obama’s announcement that Adolfo Carrion will serve as White House Director of Urban Affairs.

“We are very elated that Adolfo Carrion has been selected," said LULAC National President Rosa Rosales. "We have been supporting him based on his qualifications and he will be a tremendous asset to President Obama’s Administration.”

President Obama and Vice President Biden created the White House Office of Urban Affairs to develop a strategy for metropolitan America and to ensure that all federal dollars targeted to urban areas are effectively spent on the highest-impact programs.

Ever Wondered About the Other Side of Your Family?

Well I guess I don't have to wonder anymore. A few weeks ago I was sent an add friend request from a young lady in Florida on my Facebook account. Her hyphenated last name was the same as my father's (granted I have no relationship w/the SOB). But there wasn't a message attached stating who she was so I denied her request. I did not remember her or knew who she was.

Today she sent me a message w/another add request and she indeed is related to me (from my father's side). She's my cousin presumably. I was very "happy" and "delighted" in my message to her saying how great it was for me to find her on Facebook. But in all honestly, it sent anxiety all through me. I have no idea of the countless relatives I have on my father's side and not growing up knowing them was never a thought in my mind. Now all of a sudden I inherit (at my age) a whole set of family?! It was crazy. I just played into the role as I am/was expected to portray.

Has anyone ever been in my shoes? I feel as if these people who know nothing of me or how I lived or what makes me who I am is going to judge me! What if we don't get along? The family on my mom's side...our philosophy (as most are) blood is blood. We may not always get along but that's family.

With that being said I'm sure more will come of this subject but I wanted to share something personal in nature that others may be able to relate. And because of the way I was raised (by a single mom & also another SOB - step dad) greatly influences my life, my choices and my character. Hi, my name is Michelle. Most people call me "crazy Michelle." I'm sure in more posts to come you'll see why.

All Female African-American Flight Crew

BOOTIES FOR EVERYBODY

DIME CURVES
THE ORIGINAL AND BEST-SELLING BUTTOCK ENLARGEMENT SUPPLEMENT PILL

Have you heard of this? A friend of mine sent me an email with the subject " I'm bout to be Bootylicious!" with a link to http://www.dimecurves.com/. I couldn't believe what i saw! I mean seriously, can a pill isolate the booty without affecting the hips and stomach? This is so hard for me to believe, i mean, if it were true, wouldn't the unemployment line look like a whose who among plastic surgeons?

Then i took a look at the before and after photos.. ok.. they're a little suspect. I can fill out a pair of jeans that are one size too big after chowing down at Sunday dinner. Not to mention the disclaimer given about the models on the front page...

"**The models featured on our website to our knowledge have not used Dime Curves, nor do they endorse or attest to the effectivness of our product. Their photos are merely being used as examples of curvaceous figures with the exception of the before and after page.**

ahhhhh... the real deal? Not so much. YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Barnes & Noble Apologizes for Monkey Book Displayed Among President Obama Books

Looks like the news got around faster than a speeding lawsuit and the folks at Barnes and Noble claims "it ain't my fault".... RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.... you be the judge.

Here's the apology:
Barnes & Noble would like to publicly apologize for what happened in our Coral Gables, Florida store. We believe that a customer played a cruel joke and placed an inappropriate title in the front window of our store, where we were featuring books written by or about President Obama. We want to assure our customers that the book placed by someone other than our booksellers was never intended to be included in our display and was removed as soon as we became aware of the situation. We are looking into it and are taking the steps necessary so that it does not happen again. From time to time customers will move titles from one area of the store to another. In this particular case, we do not condone whatever message may have been intended with the placement of this title in our Presidential display. It certainly was not part of our merchandising and we regret that we didn’t see the placement of this title immediately. Mary Ellen Keating, Spokesperson Barnes & Noble, Inc. Source: Black Power

GRASPING AT STARS...ERR...STRAWS

So Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys organization has done it again.... confused their fans and made a crazy decision. The Detroit Lions traded quarterback Jon Kitna to the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday for cornerback Anthony Henry. Now, what part of this trade makes any sense? If you're a die-hard Cowboys fan, as I am, you are scratching your head at this one. A Back-up QB on his way to being CUT gets traded for a starting player?!?!?! Say it isn't so. I'm sure the Cowboys organization pays alot of money to their staff for their expertise and knowledge of how to bring a team to the next level, but when I know that last season, Henry had 55 tackles, two sacks, two pressures, seven pass breakups and one interception, it's hard to swallow this news and accept that Jerry 'nem are doing what's best for my "Boys.
